Directors of strategy and transformation have started their work

Finnish Customs is undergoing an organisational reform based on the agency’s new strategy. Our directors of strategy and transformation started their work in September and are planning the activity of upcoming departments according to their areas of responsibility.

The following persons are the directors of strategy and transformation:

• Director Tom Ferm, Customs Clearance and Taxation
• Director Samy Gardemeister, Customer Relations and Risk Management
• Director Mikko Grönberg, Customs Enforcement
• Director Petri Lounatmaa, Customs Crime Investigation
• Director Pirjo Sainio, Information and Technology

The directors have been assigned to steer the ongoing organisational reform in their specific areas of responsibility.

In a changing world, Customs meets increasing expectations. Our tasks prescribed by law remain the same, but we have shifted the emphasis of our activity, and our role as a security authority will determine our operations to an increasing extent. We strive to support achieving our strategic objectives with the ongoing organisational reform.
