Importers of CBAM goods: If you import at least 50 tonnes of CBAM goods per year, be sure to apply for the status of authorised CBAM declarant

If you import at least 50 tonnes worth of CBAM goods per calendar year, in 2026 you will need a permit indicating the status of an authorised CBAM declarant.

You should apply for the permit as soon as possible, already during 2025, so you can avoid any possible surges in applications, as well as interruptions in your imports at the turn of the year.
