The outward processing procedure always requires an authorisation. It can be a written authorisation granted by the Authorisation Centre or an authorisation applied for with a customs declaration. From 25 May 2024, the supervising customs office indicated in the authorisation must also always be provided in the declaration for re-import from outward processing.

The customs office supervising the procedure is provided with the additional information code “FIXAA – Supervising customs office”. The customs office code (e.g. the format “FI002000”) is provided as the description for the code.

Updated declaration guidance on the Customs website

Customs has updated the declaration guidance on the outward processing webpage.

The supervising customs office must also be provided when previously submitted customs declarations for re-import from outward processing are amended via message exchange or via the Customs Clearance Service.
