The introduction of the pre-lodged transit declaration and the related presentation notification will be postponed

New transit declarations are introduced in the EU over the period 2021–2023. In Finland, new transit declarations will be deployed on 2 September 2023. From then on, these declarations are to be submitted either online via the Customs Clearance Service or via message exchange.

In future, a transit declaration can also be pre-lodged (D declaration). However, the pre-lodged transit declaration and the related presentation notification (FI170) will not be deployed on 2 September 2023. We will provide more information about the timetable for their introduction later.
