The export declarations will be replaced with new ones in 2024 and the exit declarations at a later date

In Finland, new export declarations will be introduced in spring 2024. From then on, the declarations will be submitted via the Customs Clearance Service or via message exchange.

Contrary to previous information, new exit declarations will not be introduced until during 2025. From then on, they will also be submitted via the Customs Clearance Service or via message exchange.

Export and exit declarations and notifications that will be replaced

In spring 2024, the following export declarations and notifications will be replaced with new ones:

• customs declarations for export and re-export
• arrival at exit notification
• standard declaration for ship supplies
• declaration for goods in pipelines

The exit declarations and notifications that will be replaced at a later date are: simplified declaration for ship supplies, re-export notification, exit summary declaration and exit notification.

Message declarations must be tested with Customs

Message declarants must test the new messages with Customs. The plan is to start testing the export messages in late 2023. Customs will release information on the start of the testing in September 2023.
