If you import at least 50 tonnes of CBAM goods per year, apply soon for the status of authorised CBAM declarant
The Commission published a recommendation on applying for the status of authorised CBAM declarant. If you import at least 50 tonnes of CBAM goods per calendar year, the Commission recommends you to apply for the status of authorised CBAM declarant as soon as possible.
If you estimate that you are importing CBAM goods below this threshold, i.e. less than 50 tonnes per year, the Commission advices you to wait until early autumn to apply for the authorisation.
