Businesses: Changes to the authorisation of representatives on 19 April

From 19 April, you can no longer use the Suomi.fi service for authorising a representative to lodge import declarations; instead, you must use, for example, a forwarding agreement. This change is connected to the launch of the new Customs Clearance Service. 

However, representatives will still need to use Suomi.fi identification and mandates when submitting declarations. The person responsible for customs transactions must have the appropriate mandate for transactions, and, where necessary, the right to grant a mandate.  The mandate to be used is still “Customs clearance”.
