Start using Suomi.fi Messages

The message sent by Customs can be, for example, information about a document, such as a decision or a request for amendment or for additional information. If you authorise someone else to act on your behalf, the Suomi.fi messages will be sent to the person you’ve authorised.

You can receive Suomi.fi messages for the following e-services of Customs:

Note that to read the documents, you can also go directly to the Customs e-service in question.

Also give your consent to receiving electronic notifications

To be able to receive messages from Customs in the Suomi.fi service, you must also give Customs your consent for electronic notice. In the case of the Import Declaration Service for private persons and the Authorisations and Decisions Service, you must give your consent again each time you use the service. I you do not consent to receiving electronic notifications you will receive the documents sent by Customs by post.

Note that the processing of your declaration will be slower by post. Posti or some other transport company may return the parcel back to the sender if it’s not cleared by Customs in time.

If you have not activated the Suomi.fi Message service, but you give your consent for electronic notice, you will be notified by email of new documents sent by Customs.
