Warehouse IDs

Warehouse IDs are used when declaring the location of the goods. The format of the warehouse IDs depends on what declaration you are lodging. 

Use either of the following warehouse IDs:

  • Use the warehouse ID with an extension code beginning with R that has the form FI1234567-8R001 (= warehouse ID 1) in
    • export declarations (ELEX)
    • arrival and exit declarations (AREX).   
  • Use warehouse ID with the new format that has the form FI1234567-800101 (= warehouse ID 2) in
    • import declarations for private persons and businesses
    • customs warehousing declarations
    • entry and temporary storage declarations in the new format
    • transit declarations.

Explanations for types of warehouses:

Old warehouse type:
Y, T = temporary storage facility
H = place approved by Customs
C or E = private customs warehouse
A = public customs warehouse type 1
Y, P = customer’s warehouse with no customs status.

Warehouse types: 
V = temporary storage facility
H = place approved by Customs
U = private customs warehouse
R = public customs warehouse type 1
A = customer’s warehouse with no customs status.
