Amendment and revocation of authorisations
Check how to amend a valid authorisation or to revoke an authorisation.
Situations where an authorisation must be amended
Amendment of an authorisation must be applied for e.g. when product coverage of the authorisation, the customs procedures, the guarantee reference amount, the accounting system for customs purposes or some other matter affecting the application of the authorisation changes.
In most cases, amendment of an authorisation is applied for electronically via the Authorisations and Decisions Service. In some cases, amendment is applied for using a free-form application or a form. Check the authorisation type description to see which application procedure you should use.
The processing of the amendment application takes 30–120 days, depending on the authorisation type.
Corporate reorganisations may affect the authorisation
In the case of upcoming corporate reorganisations, contact our Business Information and find out how to proceed in that situation.
A company merger or division usually causes changes to the authorisations granted by Customs. Establishing a new company (new Business ID) requires completely new authorisations. If the Business ID changes, you can’t apply for amendment of an authorisation. Instead, you must apply for a new authorisation.
How to notify of the change of contact person or invoicing address
When the company’s contact person or invoicing address changes, notify the Customs Authorisation Centre by email to lupakeskus(at) tulli.fi. Explain from which date the changes are in force.
If the changes concern AEO authorisation, notify Customs by email to aeo(at)tulli.fi.
Changes to the company’s name or address do not require an amendment of the authorisation.
How to notify of revocation of an authorisation
If you wish to revoke an authorisation, notify the Customs Authorisation Centre by email to lupakeskus(at)tulli.fi.
Include the following information in your email:
- reason for the revocation
- number of the authorisation to be revoked
- name of the authorisation holder
- EORI number
- address
- name and email address of the contact person
- the date on which the revocation is to become effective.
