Message exchange
If you regularly submit a large number of customs declarations, message exchange may be more efficient for your company than submitting declarations via an e-service.
Companies can
- obtain customs clearance software for sending and receiving messages in a specified format
- use a service provider for sending messages.
Before you can start using message exchange, you will need to apply for message exchange customer status from Customs. Companies must, for instance, test messages with Customs.
You can submit these declarations via message exchange
- import declarations
- export declarations
- entry and exit declarations for goods
- T1 and T2 transit declarations and related guarantee queries as well as electronic TIR Carnet declarations
- customs warehousing declarations
- Åland tax border declarations
- statistical declarations on Intra-EU trade (Intrastat declarations)
