Accessibility statement - International trade statistics website
Finnish Customs is committed to making its websites and online services accessible in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019).
This accessibility statement applies to the international trade statistics website (tilastot.tulli.fi).
Other service alternatives
If you are unable to use the site, please contact the Statistics Service by email at tilastot@tulli.fi or by phone at 029 552 335.
Accessibility of the website
The website partially meets the requirements of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services.
The known accessibility problems are described below. If you notice a problem with the service that is not included in the list, please send us feedback by email to asiakaspalautteet@tulli.fi.
Statistical diagrams
- The site contains a large number of statistical graphs and charts, not all of which meet the accessibility requirements.
- Some of the graphs and charts have no distinguishing elements other than colour, and the colours in the graphs do not always have sufficient contrast. (WCAG 1.4.1, 1.4.11)
- Some of the information in the graphs and charts is also presented in a way other than as a picture, but it is not sufficient in all cases. (WCAG 1.1.1)
Navigating the website
- There are boxes with links on the site with a subtitle or caption. They may be unclear when visiting the site on a phone or if arrow keys are used for navigation. A screen reader may get the impression that there are two or three links to different destinations in a row, even though this is not actually the case. Such link boxes are mainly found in the ‘Businesses’ section. (WCAG 1.3.1)
- The site has some link clusters, such as at the beginning of the footer. These may be unclear for screen readers, especially when visiting the site on a phone or if arrow keys are used for navigation. (WCAG 1.3.1)
- When visiting the site on a phone, such as by using the Chrome browser on an Android phone, not all texts can be enlarged to the required 200%. There is a problem with the breadcrumb trail, for instance. (WCAG 1.4.4)
Page hierarchy and heading levels
Some pages have texts that visually appear like headings, but this information is not available to screen readers. In addition, the headings are not always in a logical order. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Site content and language
The site contains a small number of texts in different languages, in which the language is not correctly defined. (WCAG 3.1.1)
Forms
Using the form ‘Subscribe to statistical publications’ can be difficult when using a screen reader. The form contains checkboxes that are not connected to headings. (WCAG 1.3.1)
Files
- The site contains PDF files that are not fully accessible. For example, files may be missing heading levels and text alternatives.
- The site contains PDF files and other files published before 23 September 2018 that are not subject to the legal requirements.
