Accessibility statement – Uljas statistics database

Finnish Customs is committed to making its websites and online services accessible in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019).

This accessibility statement applies to the Uljas statistics database.

Other service alternatives

If you cannot access the Uljas statistics database, you can contact Customs Statistics by phone at 0295 52335 or by email at tilastot(at)tulli.fi.

Accessibility of the service

The current accessibility of the service’s content partially meets the requirements of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services.

The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) were used in assessing the accessibility.

Known accessibility issues

The known accessibility issues in the service are described below. If you notice an issue with the service that has not been listed, please contact us.

The following parts of the content do not meet the requirements of the Act on the Provision of Digital Services:

  • The option to enlarge the page by 400% is available in some parts of the service, but it is not always technically possible. (WCAG 1.4.10)
  • When using the default theme, the contrast of certain colour schemes is insufficient. However, the theme can be changed to an option with a higher contrast in the app settings. (WCAG 1.4.3, 1.4.11)
  • The service presents large amounts of data as a virtual table. This requires a fixed table cell size, which is why text wrapping cannot be used. The column width can be adjusted in the table properties, but long texts may still not be completely visible. However, the user can see the full text in a pop-up window at the cursor location. (WCAG 1.4.12)
  • In some cases, additional heading text is partially hidden. However, the user can see the full text in a pop-up window at the cursor location. (WCAG 1.1.1 and 2.4.4)
  • The table view is virtualised and uses modules that do not meet accessibility requirements. A screen reader may have difficulties with interpreting this type of table structure. (WCAG 1.3.1 and 4.1.2)
    • QW-ACT-R38 –. Not all elements with an explicit semantic role have at least one owned element required by that role. (WCAG 2.1, Level A: 1.3.1)
    • QW-ACT-R33 – Not all elements with an explicit semantic role are located in the context required by that role. (WCAG 2.1, Level A: 1.3.1)
    • QW-ACT-R39 – Not every header cell in all table elements is aligned with a content cell. (WCAG 2.1, Level A: 1.3.1)
    • QW-ACT-R65 – Elements with a role that makes their sub-elements purely visual contain elements that can be aligned. (WCAG 2.1, Level A: 4.1.2)
    • QW-ACT-R16 – Not all form elements have an accessible name (WCAG 2.1, Level A: 4.1.2)
