Changes to a comprehensive guarantee

If you wish to provide a guarantee that is smaller or larger than before, you must always apply for a change to the comprehensive guarantee authorisation. 

Reduced guarantee category

If you wish to change your guarantee category, apply for a change to the comprehensive guarantee authorisation. Read more on the page Comprehensive guarantee authorisation.

Changing the reference amount

If you wish to change the reference amounts of the comprehensive guarantee authorisation, apply for a change to the authorisation. Read more about the comprehensive guarantee authorisation.

Repayment of the guarantee

The guarantee is repaid when the authorisation is revoked or when you get an exemption from providing a guarantee and it has become clear that the guarantee is no longer needed. 

Changing the guarantee

When you wish to change the provided guarantee document, provide a new replacement guarantee. We return the previous guarantee document, when the new document has been received and approved.

If the comprehensive guarantee is not sufficient for customs clearance

In the customs procedure release for free circulation, the amount corresponding to the customs debt is reserved from the comprehensive guarantee in conjunction with the customs clearance. The reservation is valid for about five weeks and is released when the debt is paid.

If a sufficient amount of guarantee is not available for a new guarantee reservation, customs clearance as a credit customer is not possible.
