The accessibility of the service

Current accessibility of the content of the service: partly meets the requirements laid down in the Finnish Act on the Provision of Digital Services.

The known problems with accessibility

The service still has some usability problems. The recognised problems with accessibility are described below. If you notice a problem in the service that is not included in the list, please contact us.  

The following content does not meet the requirements laid down in the Act on the Provision of Digital Services and will be fixed as soon as possible: 

  • Toolbars 
    • The buttons Search and Clear all, have been placed unnecessarily on the toolbar (role=”toolbar”), which does not have an accessible name. Furthermore, they do not support the recommended keystrokes for the toolbar. (WCAG 4.1.2)
  • Keyboard focus
    • Transport document identifier field is displayed dynamically when specific MRN numbers are entered. In these situations, moving the keyboard focus using the tab key causes the focus to skip over the field in question. (WCAG 2.4.3)
    • The keyboard focus indicator is not visible at all in the header buttons of the search results table. (WCAG 2.4.7)
  • Search results
    • After pressing the Search button, the results are displayed in a table, but screen reader users receive no automatic feedback when the search results first appear. (WCAG 4.1.3)
    • The feedback about an excessive number of search results ('Too many search results. Please refine your search and also provide the house level transport document.’) is not automatically conveyed to screen reader users. (WCAG 4.1.3)
  • Hint texts
    • Form field instructions are presented as hint text elements, which are designed to scale appropriately for small screen sizes. Some hint text elements may exceed the visible screen area when the content is lengthy. In such cases, the elements can be scrolled vertically. However, scrolling cannot be performed using the keyboard. (WCAG 2.1.1)
  • Tables 
    • The row headers in the 'Search results' tables and 'Goods item' tables within modal dialogs have not been programmatically marked as headers. (WCAG 1.3.1)
  • Sidebar element
    • Sidebar elements have not been programmatically marked and named. (WCAG 1.3.1, 4.1.2)
    • Screen reader users do not automatically receive feedback about page changes after pressing the sidebar element buttons. (WCAG 4.1.3)
