Shipping companies: A temporary storage declaration must be submitted after submitting an ENS of type F10 at least until July 2025
When you submit an entry summary declaration (ENS) of type F10 for sea transport to the EU system, you must also submit a temporary storage declaration to Finnish Customs, as we instructed in our customer notice of 19 August 2024.
Temporary storage declarations following ENSs of type F10 to remain in use until July 2025
It was earlier estimated that the use of temporary storage declarations following ENSs of type F10 could end in March 2025. However, according to new information, temporary storage declarations following ENSs of type F10 will need to remain in use until July 2025, when the ID of the house-level transport document will be introduced as a new mandatory detail in ENSs of type F10. This ID will be needed in Finland for customs clearance after the submission of an ENS.
Submitting ENSs with partial information for sea transport may also require a temporary storage declaration
The shipping company must also submit a temporary storage declaration following an ENS of type F12 or F13 (ENS with partial information), if the house filer doesn’t submit their own ENS. The house filer can only omit to submit their ENS if they have been granted a transition period for starting ENS submission via message exchange. A temporary storage declaration won’t be required after an ENS of type F12 or F13 if the house filer submits their own ENS containing the ID of the house-level transport document.
