The Commission’s new CBAM Registry is now in use. In the new CBAM Registry, you can apply for the authorised CBAM declarant status.

The CBAM Registry has been established alongside the already existing CBAM Transitional Registry. During the transitional period 2023–2025, the CBAM reports are still submitted to the CBAM Transitional Registry.

Information about the authorisation has been added to the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism pages

From 1 January 2026, imports of CBAM goods will be subject to authorisation and importers of CBAM goods must be authorised CBAM declarants. You should apply for the authorisation in good time during 2025.

We have added information about the authorisation to Customs’ website.  Read the new instructions on the CBAM pages.

Check these before logging in

You can now log in to the CBAM Registry as long as the login requirements are met and the required mandates are in order.
Business customers log in to the Registry using a valid EORI number and Suomi.fi identification. If necessary, a person acting on behalf of a company must be granted the mandate “Applying for customs authorisations” for applying for the authorisation.

Check the login instructions and the link to the CBAM Registry on our new pages CBAM Registry.
