How is a CHED-D entry document created in TRACES? Completion instructions are available on the Customs website
A CHED-D entry document is to be created in the TRACES system when products that are to be imported include foodstuffs of non-animal origin subject to intensified import controls. On the Customs website, you will find instructions for completing a CHED entry document, and for logging in to TRACES.
See the instructions on the page “How to report foodstuffs of non-animal origin that are subject to intensified import controls (CHED-D) in TRACES”. You can access the page also through the TRACES web page.
Previous instructions are available in the familiar locations
Up-to-date information on products subject to intensified controls are available on the “New Controls Regulation” page. The page also contains links to pages of other authorities with responsible positions as concerns imports of certain products for which a CHED document is required.
Goods subject to intensified import controls can be brought to Finland only through specific locations. Read more about approved border control posts (BCP) and other control points (CP).
Instructions for submitting advance notifications and advance enquiries are available at the same location also in the future. Read more on the “Controls of food and consumer goods – advance inquiries and advance notifications” page.
How to provide a CHED in a customs declaration
In the future, be sure to provide CHED entry documents and COI inspection certificates under their own document codes in your customs declarations. See more specific instructions and document codes on the “Declaring restrictions, preferential treatment and anti-dumping duties” page.
On the same page, you will find further information on how Customs processes customs declarations that include CHED entry documents.
