Finnish Customs will participate in the Flag Day Parade of the Finnish Defence Forces in Hanko
Press release
The National Flag Day Parade of the Finnish Defence Forces will be held on 4 June in Hanko. The theme for this year’s parade is “The Sea unites.” Customs, like the other security authorities, will be marching in the parade and will be present on the activity field, where you e.g. can see one of our customs boats and meet a customs dog.
The Flag Day parade starts at 13.15. In addition to the troops marching on foot in the parade, more than 40 vehicles from the Defence Forces as well as from other authorities, such as Customs, the Border Guard and the Police Department, will be participating. In the motorised part of the parade, you will see Customs’ X-ray vehicle for large units as well as one of our control vehicles for heavy traffic. In addition, you can see a customs boat in the equipment display.
You can learn more about Customs’ activities at our exhibition point. You can find us on the activity field at Hanko Itäsatama at 10.00-19.00. Welcome to talk to our experts and get to know our skilled customs dogs! At our exhibition point, you can also test your skills in interpreting an X-ray image. A wide array of equipment and activities of the authorities are displayed on the activity field.
More information on the National Flag Day Parade of the Defence Forces is available on the Defence Forces’ website (in Finnish).
