Border crossing points of Vaalimaa, Nuijamaa, Imatra and Niirala are closed as of 18 November 2023

In accordance with the decision made by the Finnish Government, the border crossing points of Vaalimaa, Nuijamaa, Imatra and Niirala will be closing starting on 18 November 2023. The decision will remain in force until 18 February 2024. Due to the closing, all goods and passenger traffic at these border crossing points will end.
The border crossing points of Vartius, Kuusamo, Salla and Raja-Jooseppi will remain open and the customs offices operate normally within their opening hours.
