Proofs of Union status requested in Poland (PoUS notifications) are registered under the fallback procedure

Due to a technical problem, the Union status of goods is exceptionally confirmed under the fallback procedure, if the goods leave Poland and arrive in another EU country. The problem is between the PoUS systems of Poland and the EU, which means that proofs for such goods (PoUS notifications) are not shown in the EU’s PoUS system.

An SRD form that has an MRN is used as the fallback procedure document.

Proceed as follows if you receive Union goods from Poland

The MRN of a proof endorsed or registered in Poland has the format “25PLnnnnnnnnnnnnPn”. If the proof was provided under the fallback procedure, the SRD has the entry “N825 fallback document number / BCP” (e.g. “N825 123/BCP”).

If the proof of Union status was provided under the fallback procedure, the goods cannot be presented with a message (FI332) or in the Customs Clearance Service. Request the presentation of the goods by sending the SRD to Customs by email to pous@tulli.fi.

Customs can carry out an inspection in conjunction with the presentation of the goods. When the goods have been accepted as presented, Customs stamps the fallback procedure document with a date stamp and adds the customs officer’s signature and printed name. Deliver the document to the warehouse keeper or the carrier that can release the goods against the document.
