Import declarations concerning end-use will be renewed in autumn 2022

Publication date 10.8.2021 9.00
Press release

Customs declaration submitted by companies for the placement of goods under the end-use procedure will be renewed in autumn 2022. The customs procedure code in the new Customs declaration service and in message declarations concerning the end-use procedure is 44. The bill of discharge as well as requests for extensions of time limits must in future be submitted electronically.

How goods under the end-use procedure are declared in the Customs clearance service

If goods to be declared under procedures ‘40 – Release for free circulation’ and ‘44 – End-use’ are imported in grouped consignments, separate customs declarations must be made for the goods. A differentiation between goods placed under different procedures in grouped consignments must be possible in invoices and transport documents. If one parcel is imported, where there are goods to be declared under two different procedures, the number of parcels in both declarations is one.

When the new declarations are introduced, other customs declaration codes are also renewed.

Until further notice, declarations concerning grouped consignments are submitted in the service Import declarations for businesses – special procedures

Before the import declarations concerning end-use are renewed, declarations for grouped consignments are submitted as before in the service Import declarations for businesses – special procedures (ITU).

The end-use procedure is subject to authorisation

Using the end-use procedure requires an authorisation. Goods can only be placed under the end-use procedure, if the procedure is mentioned in the customs tariff nomenclature for the goods in question. Read more on the end-use procedure.
