Press release

At the moment, it’s not possible to request amendment of ENS declarations of type F22 for air transport. The use of the amendment message has been suspended, because it has caused disruptions in other message exchange.

The amendment message A22 is temporarily unavailable

ENS declarations for air transport are submitted directly via message exchange to the EU’s ICS2 system for safety and security data, if the goods arrive from non-EU airports. The airline and the consignor or the forwarding agency can agree that the consignor or the forwarding agency submits the house level safety and security data with its own F22 ENS declaration, whereas the airline submits the master level safety and security data with its own ENS declaration. At the moment, the consignor or the forwarding agency (so-called “House filer”) can’t amend its F22 declaration.

An F22 declaration could normally be amended with the amendment message A22. The use of the amendment message has, however, been temporarily suspended. The reason for this is that declarants have sent many unnecessary amendment messages, which has caused disruptions in other use of the ICS2 system.

An incorrect message must be invalidated

If details in an F22 message submitted for a house consignment need to be amended, the declarant must request invalidation of the declaration. The declarant must submit a new F22 message with amended details.
