The arrival at exit notification can only be sent once

Publication date 4.9.2023 14.47
Press release

An arrival at exit notification (message ASA/FI507) must be sent for export goods that exit Finland to a non-EU country by sea, air or rail, before the goods are loaded on to the means of transport. The acceptance notification sent by Customs also serves as an electronic loading permit.

The MRN of the export declaration shall be provided in the arrival at exit notification. It has been possible to send several arrival at exit notifications for one single MRN. Customs’ export system sends a response to each notification. However, the response notification is not always sent immediately from Customs’ system, if the declaration is selected for processing by Customs.

Customs has noticed that if a new arrival at exit notification is sent for an export MRN Customs is processing, this may cause a technical problem. A new arrival at exit notification can only be sent if the location of the goods changes, that is, the customs office of exit changes, or if Customs sends an error notification.
