Message exchange customers will receive invoices from the new Customs Clearance System only in message format

When your company starts using new import declaration messages in spring 2021, you will receive invoices from Customs only in message format (XML). Payment details are no longer included in customs clearance decisions relating to renewed import declarations. Payment reference details are available to message customers only in periodic filings. 

If your company wishes to pay separately for an individual import declaration, the import declarant or the agent who submitted the declaration must collect a PDF invoice in the Customs Clearance System that contains the reference details needed for paying for the declaration. 

Customs will subsequently develop message exchange so that, in the future, message exchange customers can receive PDF invoices also for individual declarations in message format.
