Introduction of some new customs declarations postponed to autumn 2022

According to previous plans, changes were to be introduced in spring 2022 for import declarations involving special procedures, the simplified import declarations and certain declarations for temporary storage. However, the introduction of these changes will now be postponed to autumn 2022. 

Entry declarations 

The introduction of new temporary storage declarations submitted for goods carried by sea and air will not take place until autumn 2022. This change affects the entry declarations submitted for goods arriving from airports and ports in the EU.

Import declarations for special procedures and simplified declarations

The new declarations involving special procedures and the new simplified declarations will also be introduced in autumn 2022.

We will provide more details about the changes and their timetable later.
