Press release
When the new transit declarations were deployed in November 2023, errors were observed in the declarations. These errors have been resolved in the new version to be deployed on 5 October 2024.
Resolved errors
The issues with the following features have been resolved:
- You are allowed to provide the subsequent procedure and its MRN in the arrival notification.
- The MRN can be entered as such after the previous document code 1ZZZ without breaking the structure.
- The write-off notification (FI045) is sent to the submitter of the transit declaration.
- The name and address details of the consignee need no longer be entered in a transit declaration in the Customs Clearance Service when the EORI number of the consignee has been provided.
New features
The new version has the following, completely new, features:
- A pre-lodged transit declaration and its related presentation notification will be deployed. Authorised consignors can also use the pre-lodged declaration.
- Cash guarantees can be lodged and paid for as part of submitting the transit declaration in the Customs Clearance Service.
- New features have been added in the Customs Clearance Service for situations where unloading reports are provided with the values B1 or A5.
- If a T1 transit is preceded by a re-export declaration or a TIR transit is preceded by a customs declaration for export or a re-export declaration, the decision on release with certification of exit will be generated already at the point when the transit is released for the procedure.
