Changes to Customs’ systems on 13 February 2021 – information for message declarants

Publication date 4.2.2021 15.36
Press release

Customs’ systems will be upgraded on 13 February 2021. The message implementing guidelines for import, phase 2, will begin to be applied to customs warehousing declarations. Message declarants in customs warehousing are advised to please note the changes described below.

Customs warehousing, UTU system

New features:

  • enclosures are submitted via message exchange
  • nature of the operator (declarant, representative and importer) must be provided
  • additional information code 00500 no longer used: the importer must always be provided
  • the procedure must be provided in the presentation notification
  • separate invalidation request for requesting invalidation via message exchange
  • technical changes to providing the authorisation holder
  • technical changes to providing the location
  • new technical structure for the commodity code
  • new technical structure for the supplementary unit

The upgraded version and the required system alterations may cause delays in the message exchange and increase the number of incorrect messages. This in turn increases the number of declarations Customs has to process, which may temporarily result in longer response times. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by these changes.
