Publication date 9.2.2022 12.01
Press release

The server certificates used by the Customs direct message exchange service will be updated to comply with the Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s (DVV) new certificate hierarchy. Before the update, make sure that the new certificates are accepted by the direct message exchange software.

The new Customs server certificates are signed with DVV’s new, more secure G5R certificate in accordance with their 2021 certificate hierarchy (G3). The current certificates are signed with G3 certificates in accordance with DVV’s old G1 certificate hierarchy. Depending on the implementation of the direct message exchange software, the update may require adding the aforementioned G5R CA certificate to the list of trusted certificate authorities.

The new server certificates will be deployed in the Customs environments at the following times:

  • in the customer test environment on Thursday 20 January 2022 at 4 pm
  • in the production environment on Tuesday 15 February 2022 at 4 pm.
