Upcoming changes to our customer services

We will be introducing some changes to our customer services to prepare for a rise in customer numbers and to offer a good level of service to our customers.

In the near future, we will be trying out new ways of giving guidance that have been requested by our customers, including a chatbot on our website and a chat in the Import Declaration Service for private persons. We will be asking our customers for feedback on the trial runs to improve the services. We will provide more information about this later on.

There will also be other changes to our information channels. We will be closing the online form Contact Customs Information on our website on 6 June 2020 and it will remain closed for the time being. This is to improve our telephone service and to ensure it has sufficient recourses to enable our customers to get help and answers to their questions easily and without delay.

We will continue to provide services to our customers in many different ways. Our website offers guidance in various forms: instructions, videos, webinars and answers to frequently asked questions.
