Publication date 1.4.2019 9.01
Press release

It is now possible to submit customs warehousing declarations in the online service of Customs. The customs warehousing declaration service is the first feature of the new customs clearance system (UTU) of Finnish Customs. You can also submit your declaration in message format from your own data system.

On 14 March 2019, Finnish Customs published a regulation making it obligatory as of 1 June 2019 to use the electronic system when declaring goods for the customs warehousing procedure. The declaration may be a standard customs declaration or an entry in the declarant’s records. The use of an entry in the records requires an authorisation from Customs, and the goods must be presented electronically using a presentation notification. The holder of the customs warehousing authorisation must also notify Customs of the discharge of the customs warehousing with an electronic discharge notification.

In order to submit a customs warehousing declaration, your company must have an EORI number.  For logging in to the service, you also need a Katso ID, with the roles Customs clearance and Company employee.

Submit your declaration in the e-services of Finnish Customs.
