Customs warehousing declarations can be submitted with a message from the beginning of May

The goal is to allow customs warehousing declarations to be sent to Customs through direct message exchange from 2 May 2019. All customs warehousing declarations are to be submitted to Customs either through the web service or via direct message exchange from customers own systems from 1 June 2019 at the latest.
Customs warehousing message exchange requires:
- An EORI number
- Applying for an authorisation to use direct message exchange using form no 1092, Completion instructions
- Approved testing of the software with Customs
When testing the standard declaration for customs warehousing, the testing service for message exchange is used, which requires identification with the company employee’s Katso IDs that have the Customs – Service Provider role.
