Use warehouse IDs of the new format whenever you submit import declarations by private persons and customs warehousing declarations in Customs’ new customs clearance system (UTU). Keep using the old warehouse IDs with an extension code beginning with R in all other declarations.
For example, flight operators have started to use both the warehouse ID with an extension code beginning with R and the warehouse ID of the new format in the arrival notifications they send to their customers for import goods. Warehouse IDs with an extension code beginning with R are still used in businesses’ import declarations. Warehouse IDs of the new format will be introduced in businesses’ declarations only once they start to be submitted to the UTU system towards the end of 2020.
When you declare the warehouse details, use
- warehouse ID 1 (warehouse ID with an extension code beginning with R) in export, transit, entry and exit declarations as well as in businesses’ import declarations
- warehouse ID 2 (of the format FI1234567-800101) in import declarations by private persons and in customs warehousing declarations.
