Customs systems will be upgraded on 6 June 2020. Web declarants are asked to note the following changes in interfaces.
The deployment of Suomi.fi identification and authorisations in Customs e-services will continue as concerns the arrival and exit declaration service AREX and the Import Declaration Service. Suomi.fi identification and authorisations will be replacing Katso identification in all our e-services. Businesses will continue to use the Katso ID until all our customers have access to Suomi.fi identification and authorisations.
Arrival and exit declaration service (AREX)
New functions:
- Suomi.fi identification and authorisations will be deployed in arrival and exit declarations (customs clearance authorisation). However, it is not yet possible to use Suomi.fi identification and authorisations in all cases. Customs will release more detailed information later.
Import Declaration Service
New functions:
- Suomi.fi identification and authorisations will be taken into use in the Import Declaration Service (customs clearance authorisation)
Transit Declaration Service
New functions:
The number of the goods item that is being transferred to the transit procedure must be indicated in the web declaration application in addition to the general reference number for customs warehousing (MRN).
Authorisation Service
New functions (8 June 2020):
- It will be possible to apply for transit and transport licences in the Authorisation Service. The following transit and transport licences will be applied for electronically in the future: authorised consignor, authorised consignee, authorised issuer, TIR-authorised consignee, and the authorisation to use special customs seals.
- In order to apply for a licence, you must start using Suomi.fi identification and authorisation as soon as possible. The authorisations used in the service are meant for browsing, preparing and applying for customs activity permits. Persons who are yet unable to use Suomi.fi can use Katso identification.
