The Customs Information Service offers advice in all matters related to customs activities. Have a look at the FAQ or contact us with your question.

The Customs Information Service offers advice to customers in all matters related to customs activities. As a private customer, you can log into the service Contact Customs Information using your online banking ID codes, your mobile certificate or your certificate card. Companies can log in with a Katso ID. We strive to answer your enquiry within four working days.

Customs does not transport or store parcels. Please contact the company in charge of the transport, Posti or the freight company, if you have any questions about the notification of arrival or about the location or contents of the parcel.

In car tax or excise tax matters, kindly contact the Tax Administration (vero.fi)

Autoverokysymyksissä sinua auttaa Verohallinto. Anna ostamastasi ajoneuvosta käyttöönottoilmoitus ja autoveroilmoitus Verolle. Tullille sinun ei tarvitse antaa tulli-ilmoitusta eikä maksaa veroja, jos auto tai moottoripyörä on EU:ssa valmistettu tai sinne tullattu. Lue lisää ajoneuvon ostamisesta ulkomailta.

Muista, että jos tuot ajoneuvon ajamalla Suomeen, on sillä oltava toisessa Eta-valtiossa voimassaoleva rekisteröinti, tai sinun on hankittava sille suomalainen siirtolupa (Traficom). Traficomin verkkosivuilta löydät katsastustoimipaikat kartalta. Jos tarvitset siirtoluvan, hanki se jo etukäteen katsastustoimipaikalta. If you don’t know or you can’t find out the contents of the postal consignment even from its sender, you can make a forwarding agreement with Posti, in which case Posti takes care of the customs clearance. The service is subject to charge. You can contact Posti on 020 451 5900 or huolinta(at)posti.com.

PLEASE NOTE. Customs will not find out the contents of consignments at the request of customers.

The postal consignment can be declared as soon as the following text is displayed in Posti’s item tracking service: “The delivery has arrived at the customs warehouse. You have 20 days from the day of the delivery to take care of the customs declaration.”

If you have queries, contact Posti, since Customs does not send arrival notifications. Nor does Customs transport or store any consignments.
