In connection with the reform of the customs clearance system, Finnish Customs is working on a tariff information service for its customers. In the future, the service will also include the national supplementary data.
A tariff information service and a tariff information distribution service for customers
Customs is going to create an online service where tariff information can be browsed online. In addition to the tariff data distributed by the Commission to the Member States, the service will also include the national supplementary data, such as any data on restrictions, taxes and charges.
Customs is also going to provide a machine-readable tariff information distribution service to support businesses’ data systems. In February, Customs mapped out needs of software suppliers interested in the distribution service.
According to a preliminary schedule, both services are going to be introduced at the end of 2018.
