Responsibility

The key tasks of Finnish Customs are related to the implementation of social responsibility. Finnish Customs facilitates the trade in goods and ensures its correctness, offers customer-oriented services and protects society, the environment and the citizens. Customs collects import taxes and charges efficiently.

Responsibility is strongly reflected in Customs’ strategy.  We want to increase social impact, adhere to the principles of sustainable development and participate in the fight against climate change. In our operation, we also carry out equality, non-discrimination and diversity of working life. Customs’ vision is also to be a pioneer of public administration when it comes to environmental responsibility.

Social responsibility is reflected in Customs’ recruitments, where the aim is to improve the realisation of equality and non-discrimination.
