You can also ask in general terms about matters concerning goods coming into the country or leaving the country.  If your question concerns the Åland Islands, go to the telephone service numbers for the Åland Islands.

Private customer’s customs declaration

You can ask for practical help in 

  • customs clearance
  • submitting an export declaration or transit declaration
  • using the Import Declaration Service for private persons
  • using the Customs Clearance Service (when you declare, for example, animals or removal goods).
General advice for private customers
Mon–Fri 8 am–4.15 pm

For example, you can ask about following subjects:

  • what goods may not be imported into Finland
  • what goods may not be exported from Finland
  • in what quantities can goods subject to import restrictions (e.g. alcohol or tobacco) be imported into Finland
  • how to declare removal goods
  • what is the commodity code of a goods item?
