Customs Clearance Service
The service requires identification and you need a mandate if you’re transacting on someone else’s behalf. The Suomi.fi mandate used in the service is “Customs clearance”. Read more: How to identify yourself and grant authorisations
Customers who lodge import declarations and who have an authorisation for payment deferment, can obtain the release decision and customs clearance decision in the service straight away.
Customs’ cash customers, in turn, can only obtain the release decision after they have paid the customs invoice. Read more: How to pay a customs invoice
You can lodge the following declarations in the Customs Clearance Service
- import declarations (release for free circulation)
- customs warehousing declarations
- declarations concerning Åland
- inward processing declaration
- end-use declarations
- declarations for temporary admission
- temporary storage declarations and presentation notifications for goods arriving from another EU country
- declarations on movements between temporary storage facilities in Finland
