Pursuant to Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2018/1137 of 10 August 2018 (OJ L 205, 14.8.2018), commodities originating in Belarus (BY) or China (CN) imported into the Union supported, protected or carried by wood packaging material, with the Combined Nomenclature (CN) codes or the TARIC codes listed in Annex I to this Decision shall be subject to import supervision as of 1 October 2018.
To speed up the customs clearance, the declarant can, in the additional information on the goods item, as the xxx explanation, provide the phrase “sisältää puista pakkausmateriaalia” (contains wood packaging material) or “ei sisällä puista pakkausmateriaalia“ (does not contain wood packaging material).
