Changes affecting users of the Export Declaration Service as of 25 November 2017

Publication date 24.11.2017 10.29 | Published in English on 24.11.2017 at 13.42
Press release

As of 25 November 2017, export declarants do not have to separately request for an exit confirmation in the Export Declaration Service. Therefore, the section “Exit confirmation RET.EXP” will no longer be included in the details of the item to be cleared through Customs. The Customs export system will automatically generate a certification of exit to the declarant when Customs confirms the exit of the goods from the EU.

As of 25 November 2017, web declarants can no longer use incomplete export declarations (drafts) they have saved, or copy previous web declarations as templates for new web declarations. Export declarations must be drafted as new from the start. New export declarations drafted after 25 November 2017 can be copied and used as templates for new declarations.

Also, export declarations drafted after 25 November 2017 cannot be corrected in the Export Declaration Service. Corrections can be requested with customs form 701s (in Finnish).
