Customs auctions off cars in Raja-Jooseppi on 3 September 2106

Customs will auction off 36 vehicles which have been forfeited to the State and which have not undergone customs clearance, at Raja-Jooseppi border crossing point on 3 September 2016.Customs would like to remind people participating in the auction about the auction rules and the appropriate storage of vehicles in poor condition.

The vehicle auction will take place on Saturday, 3 September 2016, at 12 noon, at the address Raja-Joosepintie 4580, 99800 Ivalo. The vehicles put for sale will be on display to the public on the auction day from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Raja-Jooseppi border crossing point. A list and photos of the cars are enclosed. The list is subject to change.

Customs is not responsible for the quality, condition, safety of use or suitability of the vehicles. Moreover, Customs is not responsible for the correctness of the odometer readings of the vehicles, their reported year of manufacture or any other related information. The vehicles are always sold in their current overall condition.

Goods purchased at a customs auction cannot be exchanged or returned.

Value added tax of 24 % will be added to the auction price. The goods must be paid for at the auction, in cash or with a cheque verified by a bank, unless otherwise notified. A vehicle purchased at a customs auction may not be used in traffic or registered before the car tax imposed on it is paid.

Customs will provide further information regarding the auction, such as terms and conditions and a detailed list of the goods to be sold, prior to the event.

Vehicles that are not sold at the auction will remain in the possession of the State and will be destroyed under customs supervision.

Customs auctions off goods removed from use and forfeited to the State at various locations in Finland a few times a year.
