Publication date 16.11.2018 12.30
Press release

The message descriptions (message implementation guidelines) for customs warehousing declarations published in June have been supplemented. The customs warehousing declarations are in Finland the first new declarations in accordance with the Union Customs Code that will be submitted to the new customs clearance system.

Message structures have been added to the message descriptions

The schemas, i.e. the message structures, have been added to the message descriptions and the guide for message exchange has been specified. The data contents of the message descriptions and the guide for message exchange have been published in Finnish and Swedish.

In the new customs clearance system, no decisions in PDF format will be sent with XML messages

In customs warehousing, no decisions or other printouts in PDF format will be sent with XML messages. Instead, they have to be retrieved separately from the direct message exchange interface. The direct message exchange descriptions will be supplemented before the end of this year.

Register for the presentation of the message descriptions for customs warehousing

Customs will arrange a presentation of the message descriptions in Pasila, Helsinki on 11 December 2018 from 9.30 am to 11.30 am. The presentation is intended for developers of software for customs declarations in accordance with the new requirements. Please register by 4 December 2018. The presentation will be in Finnish.
