Operator-based message exchange will be completely phased out by the end of 2021 in declarations and notifications for export, transit, entry, exit, import and Intra-EU trade (Intrastat). We recommend that you apply for direct message exchange authorisation already.
Operator-based message exchange will first end in import declarations at the end of 2020, with the exception of simplified declarations and declarations concerning special procedures. Only direct message exchange will be used in the new customs clearance system (UTU). The UTU system will not support operator-based message exchange.
