Press release
The use of the security protocol SSLv3 for the encryption of data communications in direct message exchange with Finnish Customs ends in the production environment as of 27 May 2017.
In the future, Customs’ direct message exchange interface will only support the following security protocols: TLS version 1.0, TLS version 1.1 and TLS version 1.2.
As for Customs’ customer testing environment, the SSLv3 support in the direct message exchange interface ends as of 28 February 2017. Customs obliges its customers to test their software independently in Customs’ customer testing environment in order to make sure that the software works after the change.
